ERA (Electronic Realty Associates) was founded in 1972, Kansas, U.S.A. by Jim Jackson. ERA is a leading residential real estate brokerage franchisor, with approximately 2 300 offices and more than 40 000 independent sales associates located in 33 countries.

 

Part of the Realogy Franchise Group, a global franchisor of some of the most recognized brands in the real estate industry with presence in 112 countries, ERA is backed by an organization that offers a wealth of support and resources.

 

In Portugal since 1998, ERA is the real estate market leader, with 200 agencies, 2 500 brokers and more than 50 000 properties for sale. On average, the real estate network sells 13 000 properties and registers more than 288 000 new home buyers per year.

 

ERA offices are organized based on an exclusive local market in which our brokers receive ongoing training to be exclusively dedicated to that geographical region, where they become specialists. The ERA business model promotes cooperation between all employees and agencies, supported by a nation-wide marketing and technology structure. Each agency has a legal & financial advisor who handles all administrative and legal processes as well home loans proposals with banking entities.

 

The brand business model has been considered a case study of entrepreneurship in Portugal. Thanks to its franchising model, the ERA network is a place of business acceleration and a true hub of startup development, having created since 1998 more than 410 startups under the ERA franchising brand, where each entrepreneur receives continuous training in business management, leadership, marketing, and new technologies.

 

ERA has also been historically connected to technology. From Data Science to Metasearch Engines, including AI-powered chatbots that help match the right people to the right properties (in Portugal also known as vERA), ERA will always be at the forefront of innovation.
In addition to PropTech and a customized high-end CRM software, ERA Portugal has also disrupted the market on service quality and pioneering products, such as the ERA Warranty, the first and only free insurance in the Portuguese market for second-hand homes.
